Creative Fun Relaxing
Village Pottery Online provides video-based tuition, using either earthenware clay or air-dry clay. Couses are available at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level, with each course presented by myself in twelve lessons. The course price also includes provision of a home pottery kit comprising clay, tools and glazes. This is a great way to pursue your pottery hobby at home without having to travel to the studio. In addition you can join our Village Pottery and Craft Centre FaceBook page where participants can share their work and ideas and also ask questions.
The earthenware clay option does require firing the pieces in our kilns so please be mindful of travelling distance to drop off and pick up again from our studio in Shepperton, Middlesex. Each course will require two sets of firing. We will notify you by email when ready for collection.
The air-dry clay option does not require firing so travelling distance is not an issue.
In addition to our online classes, you can also book onto our studio based classes, public taster sessions, gift vouchers and private group sessions as well as booking mobile group sessions where we can come to your premises. There is also the option to hire our beautiful studio in Shepperton for your own use.
Online Tuition
The Village Pottery and Craft Centre has been running since 2017, initially from rented premises but now at our own lovely new studio. In 2022 we won the Spelthorne Business Plan of the Year competition with a plan to launch our teaching services online via video-based tuition and home learning kits. This gives the option of following our courses from home, and is also useful for those on our waiting list for the studio-based classes so that a start can be made while waiting for a place to become available.
